This blog is about me, the way I do things, the way I see things, how I'm affected by what is going on around me, my feelings on any issue that I want to comment on. The strap line From Tea to Whisky describes me. I start every day with a mug of tea and end every day with a shot of whisky -- I've done it for over 45 years and I see no reason to change now. So that's an apt description of me and my blog which I hope you enjoy.

A cold start to the year
Awoke this morning to a heavy overnight frost with a white-out almost as complete as if it had been a repeat of the snow we had between Boxing Day and New Years day. On the plus side, the sun is out bright in a clear and cloudless sky.
